I am way behind in my posting, hence today's topic. For Memorial Day weekend, my Dad's family always gathers at my Uncle Rick's house on Sunday afternoon. Truth be told, I think it is my favorite holiday. Why, you may ask. Well, for Christmas and Thanksgiving (both former faves), there is a great deal of demand on my time, and thus, a great deal of time in the car. Not to mention all of the cooking and gift buying involved. In other words, it can be stressful. For Easter (also a top pick), we don't usually do anything except church because we live so far from our families. (Although this year we celebrated with friends, and it was really great:) Fourth of July is another good one, but I am usually invited to fifteen different events, and I feel guilty for not being at all of them. But for Memorial Day, the only expectation is that I show up and enjoy myself. I don't have to drive to four different cities. I don't have to bring gifts. I only have to cook one thing (it's potluck). I actually have time to sit and talk to my family, which I enjoy a great deal, without thinking that we only have five more minutes before we have to leave for so-and-so's house. It is relaxing.
So, right before we ate, we heard Ben scream from the bedroom. (Relaxing, right?) Dad and Tim went running in to find out what was wrong, and when they got there they discovered that Ben had lost another tooth (his other one had only been gone about three days). They asked to see it, but it was no where to be found. Apparently Ben and Will had been wrestling, and Will reached into his mouth and yanked the tooth out. Nice, huh? They both said it was an accident, and after about five minutes they were both laughing about it. Eventually they found the tooth too.

Also, this year we wanted to honor Poppie by having the kids wear UK T-shirts. Actually, it was Jennifer's idea, since all of her side of the family was wearing John Deere shirts to honor her dad. We attempted to get them to all line up for photos, which is always an interesting experience. Remember, the more children that are in the picture, the less likely that they will be happy.
Which makes this pictures all the more amazing. Jennifer stood there saying, "Will, don't smile. Don't do it." Which is the only reason that Will is smiling. Contrary is his middle name.

I know it looks like the girls aren't having fun, but they really were. We will blame it on sun in the eyes.
