I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that's the sound of a chicken running around with its head cut off. For those of you needing a mental picture of what the last 24 hours have looked like for me, there you go.
I do exaggerate some. The boys and Kate have been packed for days. Tim and I packed clothes last night. So today has been electronics, sippies and bottles (who knows which one we will need?), diapers and pull-ups, toys, crayons and paper, CD/DVDs for kids, snacks, passports, & toiletries.
And I just remembered, I need to pack headbands and barrettes for my hair because it goes nuts in humid weather. Today was a case in point. Think Monica from Friends.
By the way, earlier today, I told Will that before we went to China we had to take our library books back. So he decided he is not going with us. According to him, he can live on peanut butter sandwiches and crackers for 15 days. He said since he is a boss he is allowed to stay home alone. Then he briefly panicked when he realized he couldn't go to the grocery store. But no worries, he realized that Daddy's car would be in the driveway. He could just drive that to the store if need be.
Are we going to pull this off? It feels like the Beverly Hillbillies go to China.

Ok, I laughed til I cried. Love it...picturing Will behind the wheel of the car or at least trying to bust open the door with a wiffle bat.
LOVE YOU ALL! All of our prayers are with you for the next 15 days! We can't wait to meet Kate...Amelia is pumped!
Keeping down the fort,

Amy & Tim,
First off, your blog is so funny! I'm glad to know other people's kids are "in charge" and know all the answers. I have four of those and I am guess that Josh will fall right in line too.
Anyway, I am praying for you all. Do you have any dates that are not taken specifically yet? Greg and I will take whatever is left and we'll all pray. I usually try to show pictures to the kids when we are concentrating on praying for a family. They'll be so excited about this prayer mission.
I can't wait to meet Kate...that was one of the names we considered for Josh (had he been a girl). I think your adoption story will be one that continually glorifies God as is has during your waiting.
Love you all,
Nancye
Hey, I don't know if you remember me. We used to be in bible study together @ FBC Somerset. You were always so sweet and kind. Hated to see you go!! Anyway, please know we are praying for you!!! Kate will be such a blessing to all of you! Two boys and a little sis makes for a very fun house!!!
Can't wait to hear more from you. Much love from the Shannons to all of you!!!
I bet you are in the airport right now. I am so nervous and excited for you. Will is sitting here eating breakfast and looking at pictures on your blog with me. We looked at Tim's blog too. Will said, "Kate!" this morning!
:)
